New DC Medicaid Billing Requirements & Rate Changes for EPSDT Well-Child Visits

The purpose of this transmittal is to notify EPSDT/HealthCheck providers about new rates and billing requirements for well-child visits, and changes to the EPSDT Billing Manual and DC HealthCheck Periodicity Schedule.

All Medicaid-eligible children should receive the comprehensive child health benefit for infividuals under the age of 21 known as the Early and Periodic Screening, Dianostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) services benefit.


Passing of Dr. Roselyn P. Epps, Past President of DC AAP

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Roselyn P. Epps, who died on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Dr. Epps is the spouse of Dr. Charles H. Epps Jr. and the mother of Dr. Roselyn E. Epps.

Dr. Roselyn P. Epps was born in Little Rock, Arkansas but grew up in Savannah, Georgia.

Over 80 Pediatricians Participated in the DC AAP Annual Fall Meeting/Dinner on Early Childhood Mental Health

On Thursday, September 11th, over 80 pediatricians attended DC AAP’s Annual Fall Meeting and Dinner at Maggiano’s on Early Childhood Mental Health: Identifying and Managing Common Concerns.

The evening included a keynote address by Dr. Bhavin Dave, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC where he is Associate Director of the Infant & Toddler Mental Health Program.
