Sickle Cell Disease Transition Program at Howard University

ATP_Flyer.Howard University Center for Sickle Cell Disease, (HUCSCD) has initiated a transition program for sickle cell disease patients, ages 13-21 years. This is based on the need for adequate transition of sickle cell disease patients to adult care. The Adult Transition Program (ATP) was designed to ensure a comprehensive and successful transition of pediatric age patients to adult care.

NYU Survey on Physician Responses to Vaccination Refusal

logo_nyulmcThe Division of Medical Ethics at NYU Langone Medical Center is inviting Pediatricians to participate in a survey about how physicians respond to vaccine refusals.  The survey focuses on gathering information regarding how many parents refuse vaccinations for their children, the reasoning behind these refusals, and the strategies that physicians do (or do not) employ to convince parents to vaccinate.
