A message from AAP CEO Dr. Karen Remley
Dear Academy Fellows:
After 100 days in my new role, I wanted to touch base with you via a short video message to share some highlights.
Our Academy is extraordinary, and I’m so proud to be a part of it as we continue to serve on the frontlines and stand at the forefront of child health. The links below take you to some of our policies recently published in Pediatrics on the topics of:
- Food security;
- Ensuring the health of children in disasters;
- Global climate change, and
- Protecting children and adolescents from the dangers of tobacco and e-cigarettes.
These policies are an example of how our Academy is not only leading change in health care but leading social change as well.
In closing I want to thank you for a wonderful beginning — and for your support, which makes all that our Academy does possible. I look forward to listening, learning and growing with you to continue to advance the health of children and the profession of pediatrics.
