Dr. Paul A. Offit, professor of pediatrics in the division of infectious diseases, and director of the Vaccine Education Center, at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia published an Op-Ed in the New York Times,  which discusses poor HPV immunization rates and explains why doctors must separate “the sex talk” from the first dose of HPV vaccine and give a strong recommendation for the vaccine as cancer prevention.
