Immigrant Child Health Equity
After an extensive review by the chapter’s Immigrant Health Workgroup, a new website has been created with updated information for pediatric patients and families. The initiative was spearheaded by DCAAP chapter members of the Immigrant Health Workgroup.
The group’s main objective is to achieve health equity for immigrant children and families, who make up a large and growing portion of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region and have historically been marginalized.
Launched back in 2014, the workgroup continues to meet and to advocate for immigrant communities and to help educate other care providers to the best standards in providing care.
