Annual Advocacy Day

The Chapter held its second annual Advocacy Day this past Tuesday, March 1st. A special “thank you” goes out to our Advocacy Committee led by Drs. Tamara Gayle and Sofia Teferi, as well as all the Chapter members who helped design the event and participated. Topics from the day ranged from school issues and advocacy to workshops on how to use storytelling, social media and traditional media in your advocacy work. Specific areas of focus included understanding racism, inpatient/outpatient advocacy and building your own advocacy portfolio.
