2015 SECTION ON CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT
AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO MALTREATED CHILDREN
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Child Abuse and Neglect is requesting nominations for the 2015 Award for Outstanding Service to Maltreated Children. The Award for Outstanding Service to Maltreated Children will be given to a pediatrician or pediatric subspecialist who has demonstrated outstanding clinical care and service to abused and neglected children and their families ideally at the local or regional level. The individual must be a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The recipient will receive a $500 honorarium, a plaque and specified travel expenses to attend the 30th Annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment (scheduled January 25-28, 2016) for the award presentation.

Letters of support must be from a member of the nominee’s AAP Chapter, shall be limited to two pages and should attest to the work completed at the local/regional level. A curriculum vitae and biosketch should be included with the nomination. If you cannot get one, please note so and AAP staff will request a copy from the nominee.
