school-based-health-allianceThe School-Based Health Alliance (SBHA) just released 2 exciting products:

  • The 2013-14 Census of School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) report in a digital format for the first time ever! Inside, you’ll find information about the growth of SBHCs nationwide and how they provide access to a variety of comprehensive health services, including adolescent-centered care. Local stories accompany the national data to help illustrate the impact SBHCs have in communities across the country.
  • The Children’s Health and Education Mapping Tool is a one-of-a-kind resource that allows users to harness the power of geographic information systems (GIS) technology for data-driven decision-making. The tool includes data from the 2013-14 Census of SBHCs, along with health, education, and demographic indicators from multiple sources. The multiple data sets allow the tool to be used for broader applications beyond school-based health care. Users can analyze community child and adolescent health, identify areas of need to target with new services, examine SBHC and public school characteristics, locate local partners for collaboration, raise awareness to policymakers, and fundraise.
