Dr. Robert Zarr, past President of DC AAP, is featured in a great article about DC Park Rx in the Health and Science section of the Washington Post. DC Park Rx is  a community health initiative to prescribe NATURE to patients and families thereby encouraging outside time in one of 350 green spaces/parks rated in Washington, DC.  The initial funding for the DC Park Rx project came from a 2012 AAP CATCH grant awarded to Lauren Pallone Martin and Kristen Reese who helped with initial mapping and toolkit development under Dr. Zarr’s stewardship.
